Fund Name Description
LCFC Endowment Fund Unlike many foundations, the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado is primarily an unendowed foundation: one that must fundraise each and every year to continue our program. You can help LCFC create a longterm giving strategy for Latinos in the state of Colorado by donating directly to the LCFC Endowment Fund.
LCFC General Operations LCFC supports Latino-led and -serving organizations throughout Colorado, impacting thousands of individuals through over $1,000,000 in spending on grants, programs, and initiatives each year. The best way to support LCFC is to donate directly to this LCFC General Operating fund, which allows for flexibile spending across all programs.
Colorado Immigrant Funders Collaborative (CIFC) Founded in 2015, The Colorado Immigrant Funders Collaborative (CIFC) supports organizations in their mobilizing efforts, helping to build greater capacity to implement rapid response services, legal services and expand current knowledge around issues specific to immigrants to Colorado. CIFC grantees have assisted dreamers on their paths to college, recently released detainees, Latinas experiencing domestic violence, and thousands of immigrants working on DACA paperwork, and others.
Latino Age Wave Colorado Latino Age Wave Colorado (LAWC) seeks to improve the lives of Latino older adults and their caregiving families so they may thrive in community. Using a place-based, systems change approach, LAWC works with community, care network and policy partners to advocate for improved care access and coordination for Latino older adults and the family members who care for them. This model is currently being piloted in Montbello, one of Denver's neighborhoods.
Latino Community Wellness The Latino Community Wellness (LCW) initiative provides access and awareness of mental and behavioral health issues in rural Colorado. This pilot project works in collaboration with mental health professionals and community organizations to strategize around culturally responsive practices for Latinos, particularly in rural areas.
LCFC Grantmaking Fund Strong Latino organizations are essential to strong Latino communities. Through grantmaking, special projects and initiatives we help build the organizational capacities of Latino led/serving organizations so that they can achieve their missions and better serve the community. Our investments are responsive, relevant and shape the long-term impact of organizations and cultivate leaders who can impart social change through their actions and deep commitment to transforming our communities. This fund provides monies directly to our grantmaking initiatives.
Young Latino Philanthropists (YLP) Using the giving circle concept, Latino visionaries under age 35 are helping to grow leadership and philanthropy in Colorado. The Young Latino Philanthropists focus their funding on projects that demonstrate innovation and originality in addressing community issues through new approaches. YLP seeks to fund innovation and forward thinkers whose project ideas encompass the values of family, empowerment and cultural inclusiveness to build strong communities.
